We need a 21st century mayor. Whitmire acts like Houston is still in the 80s, and is trying to send the city backwards. The mayor needs to understand that Houston is a dynamic city and will work to ensure that Houston remains ahead of the curve. We need bold, fresh solutions to homelessness, crime, traffic, infrastructure, and so much more. We need a mayor that has an effective vision for Houston. We need a mayor who’s accountable to the people and not in the pocket of special interests.
We need a mayor that is transparent. A mayor that is will work with the people. One that won’t put down the community, belittle them, or make baseless accusations towards them. Whitmire claims that he works with the people and is transparent but his actions have shown the opposite. He makes shady deals, cancels voter-approved projects, and refuses to meet with community groups. The Mayor of Houston should be acts on what the people want, not what special interests want.
Whitmire is a danger to Houston and needs to be recalled. The Mayor of Houston should represent the whole city, and Whitmire has shown that he is only looking out for himself, his neighborhood, and his donors. If we want to build a better Houston, then we need to recall Whitmire, now!
